Love Jesus

We want everyone in our church to prioritize a personal, daily, and passionate pursuit of Jesus.

Love Each Other

We want everyone in our church to be in a thriving community that genuinely cares for each other, pursues Jesus together, and has lots of fun.

Live On Mission

We want everyone in our church to partner with the mission of God in seeing Northwest Arkansas, our nation, and the world reached with the gospel.

OUR VISION:

Our vision speaks to what we want to see. We want to see REVIVAL!! Many people saved, discipled, transformed, and sent all over the world to fulfill the Great Commission.

The Church We See

Brian Houston is the founder and Senior Pastor of Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia. In 1993, in the early days of their church, he put to paper a description of the church he imagined. He titled it, “The Church I See.” The church, nearly 30 years later and now internationally known, still uses this guiding vision today to see where they came from and where they are headed. As Antioch in Northwest Arkansas, we created “The Church We See” as a vivid, descriptive, and memorable picture of what we want our church to look, feel, and be like. Here it is…

LOVE JESUS

We see our church full of people that are passionate for Jesus and spend time seeking Him everyday. When we come together to worship we can’t help but sense Jesus right in the middle of the room.

We see a people that are sensitive to the Holy Spirit and quickly respond to His conviction with repentant and humble hearts. There’s a corporate commitment to never settle for any sin, bad habit, or time wasters in their life, but we want to be fully His in every way.

We see a church of people that are willing to surrender anything to Jesus. We see a generous people eager to use our gifts, resources, finances, and skills to advance the Kingdom of God. A group of people whose sole ambition in life is simply for Jesus to get all the fame, honor, and glory He deserves.

LOVE EACH OTHER

We see a church full of people that rest secure and confident in God’s love for them. A people less concerned with our own needs but we look for ways to selflessly serve those around us, even when it’s hard or inconvenient.

We see a people that knows we were made for community and know we can’t just do it all ourselves. We see a vulnerable, honest, and humble people that are always real, always teachable, and never choose offense when someone challenges us.

We see a people that build life-long friendships and have a deep care for one another. A people so welcoming to new-comers that it’s impossible to not feel loved when you hang out with us. A people that have fun and laugh a lot as they follow Jesus!

LIVE ON MISSION

We see a church that has God’s heart for the lost, hurting, & broken around the world. A people that long to see others saved. A people that fervently pray & intercede for a great move of God.

We see a church that shares the gospel often, prays for people everywhere we go, and that constantly look for more people to invite into knowing Jesus. We see a people that know the Great Commission is not just for “others”, but for us. A people that pray, give, and GO!

We see a people that care about the unreached around the earth and want to do something about it. A people willing to take vacation time to go on a mission trip, get out of our comfort zone, and desire to see someone across the world have a chance to know & follow Jesus. A people that have faith for the Great Commission to be fulfilled in our generation.

We see a church that knows the possibilities are endless with a people fully surrendered to Jesus. This church could truly be our church, Antioch Community Church in Northwest Arkansas.

WHAT WE DO:

Other than gathering for Sunday services, here’s a little overview of the main ways we live out our core values:

Time With Jesus

Spending daily time with Jesus refers to our personal time of worship, prayer, reading the bible, and listening to Him. Interacting with Jesus on a daily basis is what makes the distinction between a real relationship with God versus just going through religious motions. All good fruit in our lives flows out of our personal connection to Jesus and we want to seek Him as our top priority (John 15:1-5, Psalm 27:4).

Lifegroup

Lifegroups are the heartbeat of our church. These house church gatherings are modeled after Acts 2:42-47, where we share stories of what God is doing, worship together, study scripture, pray for each other, hold each other accountable to live out what we are learning, and build genuine friendship.

Discipleship

Some of Jesus’ last words in Matthew 28:18-20 were to “Go and make disciples”. We define a disciple as someone who follows & obeys Jesus and makes other disciples. Therefore discipleship is one person helping others follow & obey Jesus and make other disciples. We want everyone in our church to be in a discipleship group of 3-4 people of the same gender and we want new groups started amongst neighbors, co-workers, classmates, etc.

Prayer

God listens to and answers prayer; therefore, we pray! There will be multiple opportunities throughout the week to gather for corporate prayer. We are believing for God to do big things in Northwest Arkansas, our nation, and around the world; things that can’t be done in our own power or strength. We believe we will see His Kingdom come and His will be done as we partner with Him in prayer (Matthew 6:9-13, Matthew 7:7-11).

Missions

Whether it be in Northwest Arkansas, our nation, or amongst the most unreached places in the world, we are passionate about the gospel being preached, disciples being made, and churches being planted. We regularly take mission trips, send out missionaries, and train up people to plant churches. No matter how inconvenient, uncomfortable, hard, or even dangerous it may be, we are committed to take part in seeing the Great Commission fulfilled (Matthew 24:14, Acts 1:8).
